Teens Thriving Through is the#1 place that specializes in helping teens thrive through their parent's divorce. And guess what? It all started there.
Our founder, Tessa Spence, was 13-years old when her parent's announced their divorce. It was extremely hard for her and she didn't feel like the current solution was really designed to meet teens and adolescent's unique needs. She was noticing similar struggles with her friends and peers who also had parents that were divorcing.
She decided to make it a personal mission of hers to make sure that she would not let this ruin her life or take her down a road she didn't want her life to go down. And she was going to help her friends and peers too!

She started keeping a journal of everything that she felt that she was learning or becoming through this experience. She started helping and encouraging her friends and peers too. She had a dream for helping people thrive through the hard times in their lives.
But she knew she couldn't do it alone.
When she was old enough and went to college, she went to several professors in Family Studies who were also licensed, and practicing therapists. She shared with them all that she had learned while personally in the trenches of her experience -- trying to help herself, and her friends. These professional therapists and professors caught the vision of what needed to be changed to better help these young people through parental divorce.
They organized a team of professionals that have knowledge, credentials, and experience working with teens and adolescents... and 'Teens Thriving Through' was founded..
We have a vision of this younger generation using the divorce as a catalyst to learning priceless life skills that will serve them the rest of their lives! We help parents create a safe learning environment where their children can unlock deeper learning and growth.
Teens that come through our program, are proving that no matter how "high conflict" your divorce has been, or how non-supportive one parent may be...they can rise!
